Kayaking on Zrmanja River will show you the beauties of the Nature Park Velebit and its 200 m deep
canyon of Zrmanja. Part of the route from its start to the mouth of River Krupa into Zrmanja is calm and good for learning paddle skills. After that we will go around Visoki buk (10-meter-high
waterfall, the highest on the Zrmanja), which means 5 min of walking. Going down
the river lasts approx. 4 hours in total, of which one hour is spent
on occasional breaks and swimming. Paddling isn't hard or dangerous; during the
summer the water is clear and refreshing. We will pass a few small and few
medium travertine barriers riding down waterfalls, jumping from cliffs and swimming
in crystal clear emerald water.
